Feeders, Gates, Valves
Two basic types of valves are offered –Motorised and gravity operated. Gravity operated valves close by the action of counter weights whereas motorised valves can have counter weights or spring to impart the closing force. Valves can be made for material temperature as high as 1000°C.The required refractory lining in casing remains in customer’s scope. Flaps or cones are self-aligning type so that a leakproof seating of flap/cone on seat is achieved. Larger valves usually have 2 –flaps per stage whereas smaller valves have a single flap per stage. However large size valve with single flap is also possible.
Salient Features
- Flap or cone is self-aligning so that the best seating is achieved to ensure better leak proofness.
- The speed of operation is slow for which there is minimum noise and longer life.
- For cone valve, cone & seat can be made of alloy CI.
- Valves are designed for easy assembly and removal of flap/cone assembly. Adequate size of inspection doors are provided for easy cleaning of inside.
- The flaps or cones have swing open motion by the action of cam-lever mechanism.
- The drive is integrally mounted with the casing so that erection is simple i.e only the inlet flange needs to be bolted at the required place.
